An epic Ashes victory
Picture from BBC

England managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat today as they beat Australia by just two runs in the second Ashes test at Edgbaston. Australia started the day needing 107 runs with just two wickets remaining, but Shane Warne and Brett Lee conspired to put together a useful partnership which looked to put them right back in it.
Warne was dismissed rather fortuitously for 42 when he hit his own stumps with his foot following an Andrew Flintoff delivery. Warne had an excellent match with the ball (as much as it pains me to say it,) with his bowling of Andrew Strauss in the second innings probably the best ball he’s bowled in years.
Lee and Kasprowicz looked to have steered Australia to an unlikely victory when Steve Harmison (pictured above) forced Kasprowicz to glove the ball to wicketkeeper Geraint Jones, triggering wild celebrations as England levelled the series at 1-1. Let’s hope for a more comfortable victory at Old Trafford when the third Test starts on Thursday.
